Thank you for sharing your thoughts, Chuck. It's normally very quiet around here in the one28 comment meta.

I was recently thinking how much "fun" it would have been to bear His image before sin: no curse to fight without, no worries to battle within, but instead pure enjoyment of the process. That said, perhaps enjoying the taking-dominion process after sin is even more important since it demonstrates satisfaction in the Creator rather than the creation.

"Image Bearer" is a pretty weighty responsibility. How the entire world views God depends on the image that I portray. How I respond in any given circumstance is the image that the world sees of who my God is. Even how we eat and drink is the view the world has of who God is. This is BIG.
If God is a God of relationships, since He created man to have a relationship with Him, then I should be more relational. God came to earth to heal the sin sick and I should be looking for ways to be a cure for sin, rather than propagate it. God loved the world so much He sacrificed His only Son to save us, to have an eternal relationship with us, and yet there are people that I don't really want to hang out with; that's wrong.
This message should change the way we view all of our work and relationships.
I am praying that God would continue to work on my image bearing of Him. He will be faithful to complete the work He has started in us.
